Crypto Profit/Loss Calculator
Calculate profit or loss, ROI and the break-even sell price for a crypto trade after exchange and network fees.
Quick answer
Crypto profit or loss is net sale proceeds minus total spent. Proceeds = quantity x sell price less sell fee and network fees; total spent is the coin cost plus buy fee. ROI is profit divided by total spent.

Assumptions & method
- Amount mode: buy fee = amount × buy fee %; coins = (amount − buy fee) ÷ buy price; total spent = amount.
- Quantity mode: cost = coins × buy price; buy fee = cost × buy fee %; total spent = cost + buy fee.
- Net proceeds = coins × sell price × (1 − sell fee %) − network fees. Profit = net proceeds − total spent. ROI = profit ÷ total spent.
- Break-even sell price = (total spent + network fees) ÷ (coins × (1 − sell fee %)).
- Network fees are one flat total, deducted once at sale. Fees are taken as percentages of trade value.
- Not included: tax, spread, slippage, price changes between order and fill, and staking or other income.
- Educational only; this is not trading or investment advice.

How crypto profit and loss is worked out
Every crypto trade has two sides of cost. On the way in you pay the coin price plus an exchange fee. On the way out you receive the sale value, less a sell fee and any flat network charges. Profit is what you receive minus what you spent in total, and ROI expresses it as a percentage of the amount spent. The break-even sell price is the level where those two sides cancel, so it is always a little above your buy price. The table below shows how profit changes if the sell price is higher or lower than your buy price.
